Marc Purcell

Marc Purcell is an advocate and campaigner and has previously been involved in the successful Close the Gap Campaign to get the government to take up indigenous health as a goal, and End Covid for All, which saw the Australian aid program increased by several billion dollars. He has worked for Australian charities, including 15 years as the CEO of the peak body for international humanitarian NGOs, the Australian Council for International Development; Oxfam Australia, the Catholic Commission for Justice Development and Peace, and UNHCR. He is currently sit on the Board of Climate Action Network Australia, and has previously been a Director of Refugee Council of Australia, Community Council of Australia, Refugee Legal, and the C20 Civil Society Committee for Australia’s hosting of the G20.
