Part-time Journalist

The Alliance for Journalists’ Freedom is seeking a journalist for a part-time role to assist in its work on the Future of Journalism.
The Future of Journalism project is a core part of AJF’s work, and will focus on the AJF’s purpose of raising public awareness of freedom of the press.
Your salary will be $85K plus super pro rata to 10-15 hours a week.
As the successful applicant you will probably:
- have 3-5 years of experience in journalism
- be keenly interested in the current state of journalism and what the future of journalism should look like, including matters of trust, ethics, reform, etc.
- have social media skills with experience publishing and interacting with audiences on various channels
- be keen on research and speaking to journalism leaders around the world.
- be familiar with editing on Adobe Premier Pro.
You will definitely be:
- a confident and accurate writer
- demand of yourself high standards
- have good relationship skills
- keenly interested in current events
- a creative thinker with a self-starting personality.
The working environment is terrific with a great office in one of the best buildings in the CBD, with an interactive and creative culture, although with a flexible work schedule you will at times work remotely. You will be working alongside enthusiastic people with strong media skills and will learn heaps.
